ABOUT:

I have privately tutored and taught group classes professionally since 2013, specializing in the SAT, ACT, math (from preschool through multivariable calculus), and science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Environmental Science, and more!). However, the breadth of subjects I have tutored is as broad as my interests, including Spanish, History, economics, Government, Computer Science, Geography, Karate, Wrestling, Dance, Horticulture, and Piano, with more every year! In addition to the SAT and ACT, I have tutored for the SSAT, GRE, APs, LSAT, and many others.

About me

I started teaching with Ivy Bound in the summer of 2015, but I’ve been professionally private tutoring and teaching classes in SAT’s and ACT’s (and many other exams) for almost ten years! I have also taught high school AP chemistry. I currently live in New Orleans, LA, and have lived in many places around the country and world. I was an ambitious high schooler who initially struggled with the SAT, but through studying, I was eventually able to achieve a perfect score and got into my first choice university! My expertise is in adapting the education to the individual. I have particule experience and knowledge in working with ADHD, Autistic, and other neurodivergent students. I love to teach, and have done so every chance I’ve had, whether that meant being a camp counselor, a Karate instructor, a wrestling coach, a dance teacher, or a tutor of a plethora of subjects. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Education

Yale University (New Haven, CT)

  • BS in Environmental Engineering, 2014

I attended Yale University, graduating in 2014 with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering. I was captain of the Wrestling team and won 1st place in the North-East regional championship, All-American, and Academic All-American awards. After college, I enrolled in Ecole 42, an experimental computer science school in Paris, France. Growing up, I experienced both traditional and non-traditional education. For elementary school and Jr. High, I attended Waldorf, a small, private, alternative school. For high school, I attended San Marcos high school, the large public high school.
